Reliable valve solutions for aluminium fluoride production
One of our industrial customers produces aluminium fluoride (AlF₃) - a key component in aluminium production that lowers the melting point of the ore. The challenge
The customer experienced recurring valve leakage in its process line. When the aggressive medium leaked, the metal shaft was damaged, causing the valve disc to jam. The spindle rotated freely in the disc, resulting in the valve no longer being operable - with downtime, production losses and high maintenance costs as a result.
The solution
We recommended Asahi type 57 - a plastic valve specifically designed for corrosive media and high temperatures. Asahi valves offer a tight, reliable and maintenance-friendly design that can withstand both pressure and temperature variations in harsh environments.
The result
After the installation of Asahi type 57 the customer received a robust and durable valve solution. Problems with leaks and stuck valves disappeared, downtime was significantly reduced and maintenance needs were reduced - improving productivity, safety and cost efficiency.
