Filter presses

Filter presses are used when liquids need to be separated from solids - for example, in the chemical, metallurgical, water treatment and mining industries. The result is a dry filter cake and a liquid phase.

How it works

The process is simple: a pump feeds the mixture/slurry into the filter chamber of the press. The liquid passes through the filter cloths and is removed, while the solid particles remain and form the filter cake.
When the cycle is complete, the press opens and the cake is removed - either manually or automatically depending on the model.

Membrane filter presses

For processes where extra low residual moisture is required, membrane filter presses are the right choice.
They have flexible membranes that, after filtration, press the cake mechanically with compressed air or water. The result is a more compact and dry filter cake - which increases efficiency and reduces subsequent drying.

Semi-mobile filter press – container-based solution

A semi-mobile filter press consists of modular containers which can be combined to form a complete dewatering plant. Different containers may, for example, house pre-treatment, sludge treatment, process water management and a filter press.

This solution is particularly well suited to longer projects, higher capacity and more integrated process stages. The system can be dismantled and moved if necessary, but requires some on-site installation.

Mobile filter press – trailer-mounted solution

A mobile filter press is mounted on trailer or caravan and can be easily transported between different locations. It has been designed for quick start-up and high flexibility.

This solution is well suited to shorter projects, maintenance work and when the plant needs to be moved frequently.
