Corroflon is a flexible, corrugated PTFE hose developed for the conveyance of process fluids in demanding industrial environments. The corrugated PTFE tube features shallow corrugations that minimise restrictions on flow rate. A stainless steel reinforcement wire in the outer corrugations provides kink protection and makes the hose suitable for vacuum applications.
Corroflon is a universal process hose that can be used as:
- Chemical hose for corrosive process fluids
- Steam hose
- Food-grade hose
- Pharmaceutical jargon
The substantial wall thickness ensures high operational reliability and good chemical resistance. The stainless steel spiral at the base of the corrugations provides high flexibility whilst ensuring that the hose retains its shape and can withstand internal vacuum. The combination of shallow corrugations and an open corrugation profile makes Corroflon hygienic and easier to clean than many other corrugated PTFE hoses.
Corroflon is manufactured from 100 % PTFE, which complies with USP Class VI and FDA 21 CFR 177.1550. An antistatic black version is also available with additives approved in accordance with FDA 21 CFR 178.3297. The hoses are CE marked in accordance with PED 2014/68/EU (formerly 97/23/EC), with full quality assurance in accordance with Module H.
