Sustainability, environment & quality work
A major social responsibility for sustainability
We have a strong sense of social responsibility, which makes sustainability central to Lyma. For us, sustainability is a continuous process that aims to have a positive impact on the environment and society. Not only do we want to offer our customers sustainable products, we strive to help our customers improve their own products and streamline their own production processes. That's why we stand by your side with our extensive application know-how.
Ecovadis
Lyma has been awarded a Silver rating by the international analyst firm Ecovadis. Ecovadis assesses how companies address the environment, sustainable sourcing, ethics, labour rights and human rights.
ISO certifications
Lyma is committed to quality management and to running our business with the least possible environmental impact. We are third-party certified against the quality and environmental management standards ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015. The standards require you to define your processes, continuously measure and improve your operations against agreed targets and measure customer satisfaction levels.
Transporters
We are continuously working on transport and logistics optimisation. Our goal is to reduce our transport emissions by using more sustainable transport solutions for our global freight transport. We only use environmentally certified carriers.
Consumption
We are actively working to reduce the environmental impact of packaging and consumables. By sorting different materials, we can recycle them and they can eventually become new products. For us, sustainability means that the products we supply should last for a long time, well beyond the warranty period. When the products wear out after decades of hard work, they should be repairable. This is good for the environment and also for the economy. When our products are to be disposed of, this must be done in accordance with local environmental laws and guidelines.
We see continuous digitalisation as an opportunity to increase sustainability and climate protection. Through continuous digitalisation, we have been able to drastically reduce our paper consumption, among other things.
Energy
It is important for us to constantly develop and improve our operations to prevent and minimise environmental impact. For the property, we buy electricity that is renewable and meets the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation's criteria for electricity labelled with Good Environmental Choice
UN Global Compact
Much of our sustainability work is based on Indutrade's Code of Conduct. It covers business ethics, employee relations, human rights, society, environment, health and safety. Our suppliers comply with our Code of Conduct, and our products are delivered as standard in designs that correspond to the relevant parts of the applicable EU directives (such as "PED" and "ATEX").
Employees
Company culture has a strong impact on the health and performance of employees. We use continuous employee surveys to analyse and we strive to always improve the company culture.
Human resources development
Developing and promoting employees is of crucial importance to us. Competence is one of Lyma's keywords to be able to recommend long-term and safe solutions to our customers.
Health and safety
We offer a complete solution: pumps, valves, pipes, tanks and other equipment. All with a focus on handling corrosive and abrasive flows. Top priority is continuous optimisation of product and system safety. To prevent accidents and injuries, our products are subject to stringent testing requirements. Our various approvals and certifications allow us to offer you individual solutions and guarantee the highest level of safety.
