Filter presses - efficient and reliable solid-liquid separation
Filter presses are used when liquids need to be separated from solids - for example, in the chemical, metallurgical, water treatment and mining industries. The result is a dry filter cake and a clear liquid phase.
At Lyma we offer filter presses that combine reliability, easy handling and high filtration efficiency.
How it works
The process is simple: a pump feeds the liquid (suspension) into the filter chamber of the press. The liquid passes through the filter cloths and is removed, while the solid particles remain and form the filter cake.
When the cycle is complete, the press opens and the cake is removed - either manually or automatically depending on the model.
